The father of a disabled boy has been charged with murder in the death of his disabled 12-year-old son.
The Adelaide man was arrested after a neighbour reported seeing him carrying a backpack with a rifle and loaded handgun on Sunday, according to South Australian police.
The boy’s body was found about 1.45am by a neighbour who said he saw the man carry a backpack and a rifle.
Police say the man was seen leaving the house on Saturday, carrying a gun and walking away from his property.
He was last seen in the Adelaide suburb of Altona about 3.20pm, when he was spotted in the town’s north-west.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
