The bike warehouse is coming to the West Coast, and Amazon says it’s a big part of its strategy to move away from its traditional brick-and-mortar warehouse and make the system more of a self-service, self-managed system.
Amazon has long been a pioneer of self-shopping and self-managing its bike parts and accessories.
But the company is aiming to become more of an e-commerce platform, with an emphasis on its online bike shopping.
Amazon’s bikes are being delivered from a warehouse on the East Coast, where the company has been assembling a large fleet of bicycles.
The bikes have been delivered via a fleet of cargo vans, which are now being operated by a small team of Amazon employees.
Amazon is using the trucks to deliver the bikes, and its drivers will use a small fleet of bikes and cars to pick up and drop off the bikes.
“The fleet will be used to bring bikes to customers, deliver bikes to stores, and deliver bikes back to customers,” Amazon said in a blog post.
Amazon said that its bike fleet is not expected to be fully operational by the end of this year, and the company plans to make it self-serve.
But it’s hoping to ramp up the system to more than half a million bikes by 2021.
Amazon is not the first company to experiment with self-filling bikes.
But Amazon said it was trying something new and different with the bike warehouse.
“We wanted to build something that would be able to handle an ever-increasing number of bikes, which in turn would allow us to deliver more bikes,” Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said.
“To get to that point, we took a very different approach.”
Amazon is planning to offer two types of bike storage for the bikes: A smaller unit that can hold up to 100 bikes, as opposed to the usual 300-plus bikes that many other bike companies are currently shipping, and a larger unit that could hold more than 1,000 bikes.
The company said that this new bike storage system will be able provide more storage for bikes and more storage to customers who might be hesitant to pick them up at their local bike shop.
The bike warehouse will have the ability to store up to 1,200 bikes, Amazon said, though it’s not yet clear if this will be the capacity Amazon plans to ship at the West coast.
Amazon said the facility will be capable of handling more than 200,000 bicycles per year.
This will not be the first time Amazon has experimented with a bike storage warehouse.
In 2016, Amazon also announced a bicycle recycling facility in Seattle.
That facility has been operational since 2017.
