Bike shops are big business in India, but the ones you see on the streets aren’t always the ones people actually use.
To be sure, you can get a bike for less than you’d pay at a car dealership, but most of them are just as useful as a car repair shop or bike store.
The biggest problem is that they’re usually run by people who’re just a little too busy to keep up with the new technology.
“There are so many things that are not yet integrated in the market, the price is a big issue for the shop,” says Rajesh.
In India, there are two main ways to make money from a bike shop: the online or through a courier service.
“You can either buy them for Rs 50, or get them delivered for Rs 200,” says Shanti.
The former is cheaper, but not as convenient, so it’s a more profitable option for the average shop owner.
“It is a good way to make a bit of money on the bike,” says Shiv.
For the average bike shop owner, a courier route is the quickest way to get a new bike.
“The problem is, you have to wait a day or two for the courier service,” says Anil.
The only way to really see the difference in the quality of bikes is to ride them.
You can buy a new one at a bike store for around Rs 1,000.
But there’s no guarantee it’ll be as good as the one you’ve seen at home, and if you get a bad one, you might have to pay Rs 10,000 more.
The average Indian bike shop has a few shops where they sell bicycles, but they’re mostly run by parents, husbands and sons.
And when they’re not, you don’t see many bike shops that are selling the best of the best, but there are a few places that offer a few good deals.
“If you want to be an efficient shop, it helps to know what you want,” says Shankar.
“We have a shop that sells all kinds of bikes.
They offer a good price.
They have an outlet, so you can use the outlet and sell bikes.”
And while a good bike store might not be the best way to sell your bike, it might be the most efficient.
